ER Registered Nurse Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ER Registered Nurse to join our team for the night shift at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center, a Level IV Trauma Center with a Primary Stroke Center. Our facility provides 24/7 emergency care with specialized staff and diagnostic services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and provide high-quality nursing care to assigned patients in a fast-paced emergency environment.
  • Collaborate with physicians during examinations and procedures to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Perform patient tests and administer medications as prescribed by physicians.
  • Promote patient independence through goal setting and education, fostering a positive patient experience.
  • Utilize experience and judgment to accomplish goals and improve patient care.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
  • Current RN license in Texas or a compact state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in an acute care setting, preferably in an emergency department.
