Your Responsibilities:
You will:
- Deliver holistic, evidence-based care, including accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health issues, health counseling, and planning for patient disposition.
- Provide education and treatment for pregnancy prevention, sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention, and safer sex practices.
- Conduct phlebotomy and specimen collection services.
- Administer immunizations and injections (including but not limited to COVID-19, influenza, TB) while offering evidence-based vaccine counseling and education to patients and parents.
- Assess patients during intake procedures.
- Measure vital signs.
- Perform diagnostic tests such as EKG and Retinopathy screening.
- Conduct Point of Care testing (including COVID testing).
- Manage patient registration and intake, assist with waiting room operations, and undertake additional responsibilities to enhance the patient experience.
- Order necessary equipment and prepare the clinic to ensure an optimal patient experience.
- Contribute to our mission of guiding individuals on their journey to better health through exceptional patient-focused interactions and initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required:
- A minimum of one year of relevant experience in a healthcare environment.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record documentation.
- Ability to take vital signs, perform phlebotomy, and conduct Point of Care Testing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including proficiency in CPR and operation of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
- Ability to pass a FIT test and wear the provided respirator mask when required by protocol.
Preferred:
- Phlebotomy certification or relevant phlebotomy experience. If lacking experience, successful completion of internal phlebotomy training is required.
- Prior experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room settings.
Licensure/Certifications:
The LPN/LVN must possess a full, active, and unrestricted license as a Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
Education:
Graduate of a Practical or Vocational Nursing program accredited by the appropriate State Agency and/or the National League for Nursing (Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)) at the time of program completion.
