Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Lagniappe Rehab Home Care. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing quality care and rehabilitation services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy and related services to patients, caregivers, and facilities in accordance with the principles and practices of occupational therapy and with Lagniappe Rehabilitation guidelines.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to optimize patient functionality and skills.
  • Supervise and direct Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and Rehab Aides in skilled tasks during group and individual treatment.
  • Build a strong rehabilitation practice within each facility by performing or directing and supervising occupational therapy staff in various activities.
  • Enhance clinical expertise, professional, and management skills through interaction with managers, therapists, and other professional staff, self-study, and other continuing education activities.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an ACOTE accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
  • Valid National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification for Occupational Therapy.
  • Valid state license (where appropriate).
  • Valid driver's license.
Working Conditions

The Occupational Therapist will work in a fast-paced environment, traveling between facilities during scheduled hours, and working varying hours, including weekends and holidays. The ability to lift 50 pounds of dead weight alone and to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a work day/shift is required.
