Requirements
  • MD/DO
  • Graduate of an approved psychiatry residency program.
  • Active Virginia license
  • BC
  • BLS/ACLS
  • DEA License
Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments/evaluations of psychiatric illnesses.
  • Psychiatric medication evaluation and management in accordance with rational psycho-pharmacological practices.
  • Document response to treatment; enter orders for diagnostic tests, medications, and other therapies.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide psychiatric services to patients.
  • Timely completion of medical record documentation in accordance with the state ACT Model, DMAS, and CSB policies, procedures, regulatory standards and guidelines.
  • Coordination and continuation of the care for patients in adherence to state and federal guidelines and discharge planning.
