We are seeking a skilled Trim Press Operator to join our manufacturing team at Employ-Temps Staffing Services. As a Trim Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating trim presses to remove excess metal, inspecting products for quality, and performing other associated duties to ensure the productive operation of the company.
Key Responsibilities- Operate Trim Presses: Safely operate trim presses to remove excess metal as defined in work instructions, properly inspect products to assure quality, and identify and tag parts per instruction sheets.
- Inspect and Prepare Products: Manually remove gates and runners as defined in work instructions, inspect products to assure quality, and prepare castings for shipment and/or secondary processing.
- Complete Paperwork: Complete paperwork associated with the job, including timecards, machine cards, production records, charts, and preventive maintenance records.
- Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Environment: Keep the work area clean and organized, and ensure safety guards are attached to the trim press and bolted down.
- Experience: Must have 3 years of machine operator experience, with trim press experience a plus.
- Skills: Ability to read and understand written directives, read, write, and use math, and good interpersonal skills and ability to work with others.
- Physical Demands: Must be capable of lifting up to 35 lbs., reaching and lifting moderately heavy parts, and standing, bending, and/or twisting for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
