Hydroelectric Power Plant Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Hydro Technician I to join our team at Brookfield Renewable. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of our hydroelectric generation stations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of turbine/generator systems, high voltage transmission/distribution, and related equipment.
- Perform gate changes, record and report gate changes, and monitor and report on equipment quality issues.
- Operate and maintain company machinery and equipment, including analytical problem solving and troubleshooting.
- Monitor and report on station hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Perform duties as a contractor monitor and report to immediate Supervisor or Project Manager.
- Experience with electrical repair and maintenance of hydro turbine/generator systems, industrial electrical systems, and related equipment.
- Ability to read and understand electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite, including MS Outlook.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel and stay overnight for business purposes.
The primary reporting location will be in Millinocket, ME. The successful candidate must be able to work independently or in a team environment and adapt to changing situations, emergencies, and multiple priorities in a dynamic work atmosphere.
