Fitness Ambassador

The Fitness Ambassador - Membership Experience Expert will be responsible for delivering exceptional member experiences by providing superior customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members and guests.

• Greet members, prospective members and guests with a friendly smile, ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
• Handle front desk activities including answering phones in a professional manner, checking members into the system, new member sign-ups, and taking prospective members on tours of our facilities.
• Facilitate account updates as needed and respond to member inquiries in a timely and professional manner, escalating issues to management as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, contributing to the overall appearance of our club.

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

• A background in customer-facing roles or similar environments.
• Basic computer skills, enabling efficient interaction with our systems.
• A genuine passion for fitness and wellness, aligning with our values at Planet Fitness - Midwest Management Group.
• An upbeat and positive attitude, capable of engaging with members and colleagues alike.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential attributes for success in this position.
• Exceptional customer service skills, facilitating seamless interactions between members, staff and external partners.
• Strong listening abilities, coupled with effective problem-solving capabilities.
• Diplomacy is crucial in all interactions, reflecting our company's commitment to maintaining respectful communication.
• A high school diploma/GED equivalent or higher qualification.
• A minimum age requirement of 18 years old.
• CPR/AED certification, supporting member safety within our clubs.
• Availability to work weekends and adapt to variable schedules.

This role involves:

• Continual standing and walking during shifts.
• Extensive communication with members and colleagues, via phone and in-person.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, demonstrating strength and resilience.
• Exposure to various cleaning products and chemicals throughout the day.
