Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.



The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing.



Responsibilities


  • Assessing/admitting patients
  • Rounding checks
  • Giving medications
  • Talking with family members
  • Being responsible for the overall care of your patients


Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must have:




  • A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing
  • A valid RN license in the state of North Carolina or eligible for licensure
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting
