As a skilled Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in completing Long Term Care insurance assessments. This hands-off process involves obtaining claimant demographics, physician information, and a current medication list, as well as evaluating the claimant's functional level of independence.

Key Responsibilities

The assessment process requires you to complete a brief cognitive screening and evaluate the claimant's ability to perform ADL and IADL tasks. You will also need to be comfortable using a point of care web application/system on a laptop or tablet for documentation purposes.

  • Must demonstrate strong clinical reasoning and judgment when assessing ADL performance, cognition, and home safety.
  • Must be proficient in using point of care technology when completing assessments.

Qualifications

  • Current, unencumbered RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of 2 years of home health experience or 2 years of nursing experience in an equivalent area of practice serving the older adult population.
  • Must have, or be willing to obtain, a professional liability insurance policy.
  • Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
