Responsibilities
  • Provide evaluation and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies
  • Assess patient needs and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition
  • Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcomes
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions and provide information about community support groups and other available programs
  • Assist with care, calibration, and maintenance of equipment
  • Participate in maintaining departmental inventory levels for supplies and equipment
  • Process equipment per established cleaning/sterilization procedures
Requirements
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider, Licensed Respiratory Therapist, Certified Respiratory Therapist, Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation (preferred)
  • Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience
