Responsibilities- Provide evaluation and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies
- Assess patient needs and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis
- Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition
- Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and provide information about community support groups and other available programs
- Assist with care, calibration, and maintenance of equipment
- Participate in maintaining departmental inventory levels for supplies and equipment
- Process equipment per established cleaning/sterilization procedures
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider, Licensed Respiratory Therapist, Certified Respiratory Therapist, Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation (preferred)
- Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience
