Clinical Therapist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Pre-Licensed Clinician to join our team at Mountain Counseling & Training, Inc. This role will provide direct therapy services to clients in San Bernardino County Dept. of Behavioral Health programs, working independently and collaboratively with other team members.

• Conduct intake assessments, preparing diagnostic evaluations and determining the cause, nature, and severity of clients' mental status.
• Develop and implement goal-oriented Client Recovery Plans, providing rehabilitative and socialization services to restore and maintain clients' functional levels.
• Provide direct therapy services in clinic, school, or community environments, intervening in crisis situations when necessary.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to manage and implement changes to treatment plans or recovery plans.
• Participate in staff reviews, recommending changes in therapeutic techniques, environment, and/or charting to facilitate patient recovery or transition to lower levels of care.
• Assist clients, families, and significant others in understanding clients' physical, mental, or emotional disorders, providing emotional support and information to identify external stressors.
• Conduct support groups, classes, wellness, and recovery activities for clients at the clinic, school, or community sites.
• Maintain 65% productivity with regard to Medi-Cal billing requirements and complete documentation within Medi-Cal requirements.
• Complete administrative processes required for service delivery, including releases of information, child abuse reports, and scheduling services.
• Participate in on-call programs to provide 24/7 responsiveness to client needs, adhering to current policy and assignments.

• Registration with the Board of Behavioral Science with Intern Number assigned (MFT Track)
• At least 1 year of experience working with emotionally disturbed youth
• Bilingual English-Spanish preferred
• Located within 20 minutes of Crestline Location preferred
