The estimated annual salary for this position is around $65,000-$80,000, depending on location and experience.

Job Description:

We are seeking an HR Operations Specialist to provide leadership in the execution of HR operations and support strategic HR initiatives. As a key member of our HR team, you will partner with managers to drive organizational effectiveness, talent management, performance management, compensation, benefits, and employee relations.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as an advisor and provide technical expertise and analytical support in all aspects of the Human Resources function
  • Support the ITW performance management cycle, advising and coaching in areas of goal setting, mid-year feedback activities, annual performance review, and compensation planning process
  • Work with functional leaders to manage talent acquisition activities, including talent upgrade efforts as necessary, and advise on market compensation requirements
  • Coordinate recruitment efforts from job scoping activity through the offer phase
  • Provide guidance and support on day-to-day general employee relations issues
  • Assist with leave management, including disability and workers' compensation
  • Organize and conduct new hire orientation, creating a positive first impression of the company and serving as a role model for ITW values
  • Input and maintain employee data in the HRIS system, preparing regular and special reports using HRIS
  • Carry out research and data analysis and assist with proposals and presentations
  • Prepare employee communication documents, including new hire, disability, benefit, separation notices, and related documentation

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Human Resources, Business, or Psychology
  • SHRM, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in HR regulations and practices
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and time management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong facilitation skills
  • Good knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to use good judgment and discretion with highly confidential business and employee information
  • Ability to influence and motivate action within the organization by leveraging strong working relationships
