HealthTrust Workforce Solution External is seeking an experienced Cardiac Care Specialist to join their team as a travel nurse for a 12-week contract in Louisville, Kentucky.

About the Role
  • This position requires a registered nurse with PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience and specialization in cardiac care.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working with post-operative coronary bypass graft patients, valve surgery, chest pain, dysrhythmia, pacemaker/AICD placement, and cath lab procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced PCU environment with a strong focus on intermediate/step-down cardiac unit practices.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans and ensure seamless transitions of care.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

  • RN license in good standing and active ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications.
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including nights and weekends, with a minimum of 36 hours per week guaranteed.
  • Flexibility to float between PCU and Med-Surg units as needed.
