We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer to join our team at CommonSpirit Health. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Protect and Serve: Respond to calls for assistance in a timely and prudent manner, protecting staff, patients, and visitors from harm.
- Patrol and Monitor: Patrol the facility and grounds by foot or vehicle, monitoring security alarms and dispatching officers as needed.
- Investigate and Report: Investigate security breaches, conduct follow-up investigations, and write incident reports to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Log and Document: Log all activities in a daily log and complete clear, concise, and legible reports in a timely manner.
- Experience: Six (6) months experience as a security officer in a hospital or healthcare setting, or one (1) year experience as a security officer.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent, or three (3) years experience as a security officer.
- Certifications: Current state issued security officer license showing no disciplinary actions, and American Heart Association CPR/BLS Certification within 90 days of hire.
- Skills: Ability to speak English, communicate clearly orally and in writing, and understand and use de-escalation techniques.
- Current Drivers License: Preferred
- IAHSS Basic Training: Completion of IAHSS Basic Training for Healthcare Security Officer preferred
