Responsibilities
  • Provide medical direction and leadership for the hospital, ensuring high-quality patient care and exceptional client experiences.
  • Collaborate with the Hospital Manager to drive financial performance, including revenue generation and expense management.
  • Monitor associate doctor performance and production, providing feedback and coaching to ensure success.
  • Develop and implement clinical protocols and procedures to ensure consistency and excellence in patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear and concise information about their pets' health and treatment options.
  • Stay up-to-date with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine, attending continuing education meetings and workshops.
  • Assist in the development of the paraprofessional team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and exceptional client service.
  • Represent the hospital in the professional community and to the general public, promoting our values and mission.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Texas.
  • 3+ years of leadership/management experience, preferably in a veterinary hospital setting.
  • 3+ years of experience as a veterinarian, with a strong background in small animal medicine.
  • Professional comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude.
  • Ability to lead the team through a variety of cases, with a focus on patient care and client satisfaction.
  • Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of veterinary medicine.
