Key Responsibilities
  • Assist licensed physical therapists in the development and implementation of patient treatment plans
  • Conduct patient assessments and evaluations to identify areas of improvement
  • Administer physical therapy treatments and modalities as prescribed by the physical therapist
  • Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the physical therapist
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited physical therapist assistant program
  • Licensure to practice as a physical therapist assistant in the state of Florida
  • Previous experience in physical therapy, preferred
  • Member of state and national American Physical Therapy Association, preferred
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Proficient administrative and public relations skills
  • Thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in physical therapy
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and other healthcare professionals
