Constellation Energy is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for performing advanced engineering problem-solving in support of nuclear plant operations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform advanced engineering and technical tasks in support of nuclear plant operations.
- Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects.
- Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering activities related to plant safety, reliability, maintainability, and availability.
- Ensure compliance with customer needs, regulatory requirements, and corporate policies.
- Provide technical expertise and consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
- Manage engineering issues and recommend equipment, new concepts, and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.
- Support plant design modifications, testing, and problem-solving.
- Ensure all engineering products prepared or overseen are in accordance with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, and regulatory requirements.
- B.S. in Engineering and 2+ years of nuclear or related engineering experience for Mid-level Engineer.
- B.S. in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer and 7+ years of engineering experience for Senior Engineer.
- B.S. in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer and 10+ years of engineering experience for Senior Staff Engineer.
Steam Turbine experience required. Preferably a focus on turbine field engineering and maintenance support, and troubleshooting. Experience with turbine overhauls, inspections, long-term asset management, professional engineering registration is a benefit but not required, and advanced technical degree or coursework is beneficial.
CompensationThe salary range for this position is $88,000 - $138,000 per year, based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401K.
