Nighttime Caregiver

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable individual to join our team as a Part-Time Overnight Awake Staff at Terrapin House Inc.

As a Nighttime Caregiver, you will provide vital care and companionship to a young man with autism and other disabilities in his family home. Your role will involve staying awake and attentive to his needs, assisting with personal care, and providing comfort and reassurance.

• Provide nighttime care and support to ensure the individual's physical and emotional well-being.
• Assist with personal care tasks, including diaper changes and any additional support required.
• Offer comfort and reassurance through a calming presence, gentle touch, or holding hands.
• Use video monitoring to keep watch, with time to use your phone or computer when the individual is resting.

• Minimum age of 18 with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of caregiving experience is preferred, but compassion is key.
• Must pass a criminal background check to ensure safety.
• Experience with basic sign language is a plus.
• Kindness, empathy, and a nurturing spirit are essential.
• Comfortable with a friendly therapy dog in the home.
