Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address the specific needs and goals of each student.
  • Cultivate a safe and engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity and growth.
  • Collaborate with a team of professionals, including therapists and parents, to ensure comprehensive support for each child.
  • Utilize a diverse range of instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods as needed to promote success.
  • Encourage positive social interactions and skill development among students.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.
  • Valid Florida teaching certification in Exceptional Student Education (ESE) or Elementary Education.
  • Previous experience working with elementary-aged children with special needs is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to education.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to creating a nurturing learning environment.
  • Ability to manage classroom dynamics with empathy and patience.
