Job Summary and Qualifications
The HCA Nurse Residency Program equips you with the necessary tools to thrive in today’s healthcare environment.

The RN Resident is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in alignment with departmental requirements and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.
In partnership with medical professionals and other members of the healthcare team, the RN Resident provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care utilizing established nursing frameworks such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." The RN Resident acts as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers to ensure an exceptional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patient conditions upon admission and during each scheduled shift, identifying and reporting any changes in status.
- Execute procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as directed by medical providers. Document care provided in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitoring patients for therapeutic responses. Notify providers and intervene as necessary in the event of adverse reactions.
- Deliver outstanding care by responding swiftly to patient requests, anticipating needs, and addressing them proactively.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring clear understanding of complex medical terminology.
Qualifications:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within 1 year of employment
- Additional certifications may be required during employment
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse status in the State
- No prior experience required
- Some travel may be necessary for training purposes
