Test Software Engineer

Job Summary

This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining test software and hardware tasks to support production manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Test Development Engineer to develop test scripts and implement test plans for new production testing.
  • Investigate and resolve test-related issues in production, working with internal teams and customers to identify root causes and implement improvements.
  • Monitor test failure trends in production and provide corrective actions to enhance production test yields.
  • Set up and maintain production test equipment, including UCS Servers, Terminal Servers, Switches, Power cycle boxes, and Hipot machines.
  • Interface with customers and internal cross-functional teams to resolve testing-related issues.
  • Develop and execute testing-related improvement projects, ensuring successful execution and driving end results.
  • Train technicians and testers on new and existing testing procedures and product troubleshooting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing/production testing experience is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with Python programming is required.
  • Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a Linux/Unix/Windows environment is essential.
  • Other industrial test scripting and programming experience is preferred.
  • Experience with RESTful web services is a plus.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills are required.
  • A strong customer service/satisfaction attitude is necessary.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure manufacturing environment is essential.

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • CCNA certification or above is a plus.
  • Manufacturing experience is a plus.
