Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Software Engineer who prides themselves on their expertise, possesses a keen interest in inefficient markets, embraces complex challenges, and is committed to producing high-quality code with a sense of independence. As part of a small team at Spline Data, this position carries significant responsibility, offering not only rewarding work but also opportunities for personal input and the chance to learn new technologies while collaborating closely with the CTO. The potential for growth in this role is largely determined by your initiative.

  • Design, develop, and maintain essential components of our analytics systems
  • Ensure that all systems, both new and existing, adhere to our stringent standards for code quality, architecture, and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate directly with quantitative researchers and fellow developers to transform innovative ideas into successful outcomes

Essential Qualifications


• Over 5 years of experience in a collaborative team environment utilizing low-level programming languages


• Solid understanding of engineering principles and fundamental computer science concepts


• Proficiency in C/C++/Rust and/or Python


• Experience in enhancing a complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes

Preferred Skills


• Proficiency in Rust


• Familiarity with Pandas or Polars


• Experience with Distributed Computing and Cloud Environments


• In-depth knowledge of Git


• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities


• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment

Compensation Package

Salary: $100K - 150K per year based on experience
