Ground Combat Specialist

The U.S. Army seeks motivated individuals to serve as Ground Combat Specialists in the Infantry division. In this role, you will be part of the main land combat force and the backbone of the Army.
Job OverviewAs a Ground Combat Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to defend our country against ground-based threats. You will work in various environments, from urban to rural areas, and engage with enemy forces to capture or destroy them. Your duties may include reconnaissance, mobilizing troops and weaponry, and providing support to ongoing missions.
Requirements- Must have an interest in serving in the U.S. Army.
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien.
- 17 to 34 years old.
- Healthy and in good physical condition.
- In good moral standing with no felony-level offenses.
- Must be able to meet height/weight standards.
- No major medical procedures that would prohibit you from service.
- No tattoos on the hands, neck, or face.
As a member of the U.S. Army, you will receive a competitive salary and benefits package. The estimated annual salary for this position is $40,000-$115,000, depending on your level of experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will receive:
- Up to $40,000 enlistment bonuses.
- Up to $115,000 for additional education benefits.
- 30 days vacation with pay per year.
- Additional living expenses for those who have dependents.
- Clothing and food allowance.
- Centrally located Education and Financial Advisors.
- Travel opportunities.
The U.S. Army offers several education benefits to its members, including the Post-9/11 GI Bill, the Montgomery GI Bill – Active Duty, and the Montgomery GI Bill – Selected Reserve. These programs provide up to full college tuition, as well as money for housing and books, and can be used to pursue online schooling, correspondence courses, entrepreneurship training, flight school, licensing and certification courses, vocational training, trade schools, national testing, on-the-job training, and tutorial assistance.
