">Job Description
">We are seeking a skilled Veterinarian to join our team at Petco Total Care Full Service Veterinary Hospitals. As a hospital veterinarian, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, collaborating with our medical team, and contributing to the growth of our productive practice.
">Key Responsibilities

- Provide high-quality patient care through physical examinations, diagnoses, and treatment plans">
- Utilize problem-based approach to develop complete problem lists, diagnostic plans, and treatments">
- Document patient observations, findings, treatments, and client interactions in the medical record">
- Perform routine and complex surgical procedures, including spays/neuters, abdominal exploratory, and mass removals">
- Develop treatment plans for patients undergoing day hospitalization and communicate effectively with referral hospitals">
- Participate in rounds as incoming or exiting doctor and disseminate knowledge throughout staff to improve care and communication">
Required Skills and Qualifications
">To succeed in this role, you must possess:

- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school">
- Active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state where the hospital is located">
- Current DEA license and Controlled Substance License (if applicable)">
- USDA Category I Accreditation or completion within two months of hire date">
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills">
- Compassion, sympathy, and professional attitude in emotional and stressful situations">
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of accuracy">
- Familiarity with quality equipment, such as ultrasound and heated hydraulic surgery tables">
