OBJECTIVE/SUMMARY

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for enhancing the daily operations of the production line by refining manufacturing processes and product movement, performing root cause analyses, and executing cost-reduction strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in operational support and the development of new products/processes
  • Help design facility layouts for equipment relocations and additions utilizing Lean Manufacturing methodologies
  • Conduct time analysis to document continuous improvement efforts
  • Manage change orders through the established change order management system
  • Create and revise process and material specifications
  • Facilitate operator training for both new and existing processes, products, and machinery
  • Engage with external partners to enhance processes and troubleshoot technical challenges
  • Draft capital expenditure proposals, oversee equipment procurement and installation, and monitor expenses
  • Validate equipment and processes during enhancement initiatives
  • Support capacity planning, cost reduction, and facility layout optimization
  • Evaluate process capabilities and initiate process enhancements
  • Participate in cross-departmental project teams
  • Review technical drawings for new and existing products
  • Ensure adherence to product/process design controls in accordance with company policies
  • Perform additional tasks as required

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a science or engineering field or equivalent industry experience
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Familiarity with LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team
  • Proficient technical writing skills
  • Understanding of risk management documentation
  • Knowledge of fixtures and tooling
  • Experience with CAD/SolidWorks
