Job Title: Club Barback

Job Summary:

The Club Barback is a key member of the Cafe Sevilla team, responsible for ensuring the bar and facilities are clean, properly stocked, and maintained to provide an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bar Operations: Utilize the Club Opening and Closing Checklists to track completion of opening and closing procedures, including routine duties, cleaning, and special event set-up and closing duties.
  • Guest Experience: Create a positive and memorable experience for guests, cultivating customer return and ensuring the Tapas bar, Patio, Club, and Club wash rooms are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Inspections and Maintenance: Conduct frequent club inspections for cleanliness and safety, addressing areas that do not meet Sevilla standards.
  • Support Services: Stock bars with ice and supplies as needed, assist bartenders with work tasks, and support VIP Cocktail Servers with additional tasks.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean and presentable work area, encouraging additional sales to guests when possible.
  • Closing Procedures: Assist with closing procedures for Cocktail Servers and Bartenders as needed.
  • Teamwork: Demonstrate a positive work attitude, friendly demeanor, and ability to work well with coworkers and as a team.
  • Knowledge and Training: Stay up-to-date on Best Practices applicable to the job code, complete assigned training tests and courses, and be aware of all details on the Nightclub Player's List.
  • Uniform and Appearance: Adhere to uniform expectations for the position as outlined in the Sevilla Handbook and company policy.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Clock-in and out properly, take breaks according to company policy, and attend and participate in all mandatory staff meetings.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1+ years related nightclub experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret Company operations, safety, finance, and human resource documents.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Internet, email communication skills, and working knowledge or ability to learn Aloha.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a loud and dimly lit environment, with occasional use of earplugs.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
