The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Responsibilities:

• Oversees the direction and operation of the clinical laboratory, ensuring efficient and effective operations.

• Provides technical guidance and support to laboratory staff, addressing problems and concerns in a timely manner.

• Assigns and schedules work for assigned shifts, prioritizing tasks and ensuring adequate staffing.

• Prepares and reviews daily and weekly time and attendance reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Conducts department meetings, fostering open communication and collaboration among team members.

• Performs various clinical laboratory tests, analyzes and interprets test results, and ensures accuracy and quality.

• Assists with data collection and special projects, providing expertise and support as needed.

• Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of policies and procedures for patient preparation, sample requirements, specimen collection, and pre-analytical factors that affect sample quality.

• Oversees the documentation and submission of all required laboratory, departmental, and staff statistics/reports.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree
