Job Title: Heavy Equipment Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Truck Driver to join our team at Raymond Handling Concepts. As a Heavy Equipment Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a heavy-duty tractor and trailer to pick up and deliver products sold and serviced by our company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a heavy-duty tractor and trailer to transport products to and from customer locations.
  • Follow daily transportation schedules and directions from the Sr. Logistics Manager or designated employee.
  • Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, including maintenance of driver's logbook and random drug testing.
  • Obtain customer signatures on receipt for pickup or delivery of product and document damage and condition of equipment received or delivered.
  • Update training and skills on a continuing basis and follow all Department procedures for asset movement, identification, and storage.
  • Complete all paperwork transactions in a timely, neat, and accurate fashion and maintain a clean and orderly vehicle.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner and maintain an acceptable driving record as established by Raymond Handling Solutions, Inc. insurance carrier.
  • Report all accidents immediately, regardless of fault or situation, and account for 100% of available time during working hours.
  • Be willing to work overtime when necessary and coordinate with assigned supervisor.
  • Follow safety procedures and use good judgment in regard to safety and be willing to drive safely with tall equipment requiring permit loads and double check all traffic routes.
  • Be willing to work out of town, as necessary, and perform other specific duties and projects as assigned by the Department Manager/Supervisor.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and minimum of 2 years driving experience handling Heavy Equipment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current, valid, unrestricted Class A California driver license with no more than the allowable level of points on record as determined by our insurance carrier.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational time management skills, and proficiency in Microsoft office Suite and similar software.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, and ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with employees, coworkers, and managers in other departments and be willing to work off-hours as specific needs dictate and willing to assume more responsibility as required.
