Job Title: Day Program Instructor Caregiver

Job Summary:

The Day Program Instructor Caregiver will provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting their health, safety, and well-being. This role requires a strong commitment to person-centered care, advocacy, and community involvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement daily routines and activities that promote the health, safety, and well-being of clients.
  • Assist clients with daily living tasks, including personal care and meal preparation.
  • Support clients in vocational and leisure activities, promoting their independence and self-advocacy.
  • Participate in client assessment, planning, and evaluation processes, ensuring that individualized plans are in place to meet client needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure seamless delivery of services and high-quality care.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid California Driver's License.
  • Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including a background check.
  • Direct Support Professional Certificate (Year 1 & Year 2) and CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification preferred.
  • First Aid/CPR certification required.
