Overview: Become a vital member of Cleveland Clinic's G81 Complex Medical Care and ENT/Plastics Step Down Unit as a Registered Nurse, contributing to a prestigious ANCC Magnet Designated Hospital while advancing your professional journey.

Role Responsibilities: In this position, you will provide care for adult patients in a complex medical environment, addressing a range of medical conditions, as well as supporting individuals in our specialized ENT/Plastics eight-bed step-down unit.

These patients are in recovery from various reconstructive procedures and necessitate highly specialized nursing care that you will be trained to deliver.

This role presents an exceptional opportunity for registered nurses to engage with a diverse patient population and acquire specialized expertise in ENT and Plastics.

Work Schedule: PRN nurses at Cleveland Clinic are expected to work a minimum of 48 hours within a six-week scheduling cycle. Shifts can be arranged in either 12-hour or 8-hour blocks.

Key Duties:

  • Deliver direct nursing care in line with established protocols and policies.
  • Implement and oversee patient care plans.
  • Act as the primary coordinator for multidisciplinary patient care.
  • Document and execute physician and nursing directives.
  • Evaluate and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
  • Engage in ongoing professional growth through formal and informal education and clinical nursing studies.

Qualifications:

Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing program. If working in a Critical Care area, an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon hire or within the first year of employment.

Within one year of employment, RNs in specialized units must achieve and maintain relevant certifications such as Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) as applicable.

Experience Requirements:

External candidates should possess a minimum of two years of recent nursing experience. Internal candidates with less than two years of experience may be considered following a review and approval process.
