Responsibilities:
  • Administration, management, and quality of nursing care provided on various shifts
  • Formulating Nursing Department Policy and participating in hospital policy development
  • Collaborating with Clinical Directors and Vice President/Chief Nurse Officer to achieve departmental goals
  • Providing leadership and guidance to nursing staff
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies

Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a staff nurse, preferably with demonstrated charge nurse/leadership abilities
  • Licensed and registered to practice as a registered nurse in New York State
  • Successful completion of ACLS and PALS within one year of hire

Working Conditions:

This role requires occasional exposure to blood, body substances, infectious materials, chemical hazards, vibration, radiation, slippery surfaces, or noise that may result from performance of duties.

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a clean, well-lit, heated or ventilated facility with minimal exposure to hazards.

This role may require occasional irregular hours, including evenings or weekends, to participate in operational and community events as necessary.
