Job Title: Coder

As a Coder at Community Health Systems, you will be responsible for performing remote coding for CHS hospitals via scanned and electronic medical records. You will also abstract data from hospital abstracting systems as part of a corporate coding organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Code Emergency Department (Diagnosis & Procedure), Ancillary and some outpatient hospital clinic services
  • Consult with Manager, Corporate Coding or other available resources to resolve difficult codes and/or coding problems
