Sun Chemical Corporation is seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our plant leadership team, you will be responsible for driving continuous site EHS and security performance improvement by developing, implementing, and training on company EHS policy and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure site EHS compliance through continuous improvement activities such as thorough inspections, audits, corrective actions, and implementing best practices.
- Work closely with a network of other Corporate EHS professionals and plant department heads to achieve EHS goals.
- Develop and maintain EHS systems, procedures, and performance metrics.
- Analyze and evaluate EHS performance, developing improvement plans to meet or exceed plant and/or corporate goals.
- Coordinate and conduct plant EHS training and maintain records.
- Lead and track incident and injury investigations and resolutions.
- Provide EHS expertise and support in process reviews and evaluations.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Environmental Science, Chemistry, Engineering, etc).
- 3+ years' experience in the field of EHS.
- 1+ years' experience working in a PSM and/or RMP facility.
- Proficient user of MS Office products.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills to meet multiple deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Master's in a related field (Environmental Science, Chemistry, Engineering, etc).
- 3+ years' experience working in a PSM and RMP facility.
- 3+ years' experience in heavy industry such as chemical, paper, refining, etc.
- Underground injection well technology experience.
- Certified wastewater operator.
- EHS related certifications.
