Tire Technician Job Description

MarBorg Industries is seeking a skilled Tire Technician to join our team. As a Tire Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of our fleet by performing tire inspections, repairs, and replacements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily tire inspections on vehicles and equipment to identify potential issues.
  • Perform tire repairs and replacements in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Utilize fleet maintenance software to document and track repair orders and related information.
  • Assist mechanics with project work and maintain a clean, safe work area.
  • Conduct out-of-service tire reviews and analysis to identify root causes of tire damage.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Shop Manager.
Requirements:
  • Certified Tire Industry Association (TIA) training and certification is a plus.
  • Ability to take care of fleet inspections, inventory control, and supply orders.
  • Must have a valid driver's license to handle some road call activity.
  • Must be willing to follow all safety procedures and work safely.
  • Knowledge and ability to use hand and power tools along with air tools.
  • Familiarity with a computer is necessary to utilize fleet maintenance software programs.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Working Conditions:

The work environment is a shop environment with occasional field environments that may require some travel from site to site. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

This position requires employees to travel using company vehicles for service calls off-site. Required to put on protective outfits such as gloves, safety eyeglasses, safety footwear, coveralls, and hard hat.
