Position Overview:
GovCIO is actively seeking an Operations & Information Specialist, Subject Matter Expert to deliver essential support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis on emerging policies, regulations, directives, and industry challenges.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Director to manage daily operations, ensuring synchronization and coordination for logistics programs, while providing insights on operational matters.
  • Review, prepare, analyze, and draft staff actions and information requests; create or evaluate briefings in partnership with the Operations Director.
  • Propose updates to policies and procedures for the program, consolidating reports and preparing operational briefs in conjunction with various Operations Branches.
  • Develop and maintain Microsoft Access databases and SharePoint workflows, ensuring project milestones and schedules are effectively tracked. Databases should automate data-driven requirements efficiently.
  • Act as the KTR lead for the Operations Directorate, offering technical guidance and mentorship to Operations Specialists, ensuring objectives are met.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent expertise.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Secret clearance required: A minimum of ten (10) years in planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing logistics and acquisition activities, with at least five (5) years in operations at Brigade level or higher.

In-depth knowledge of National, Operational, and Tactical Level Logistics, including Peacetime, Contingency, and Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) operations.

Strong understanding of concepts, strategies, practices, and planning guidance impacting the mission.

Experience in conducting studies and analyses to identify and develop new strategies and functions.

Ability to collaborate with specialists to create new methodologies and recommend improvements to optimize program efficiency.

Familiarity with regulatory programs and evaluation techniques to ensure compliance with established rules.

Proficient in preparing project documentation, information papers, and staff reports, along with strong presentation skills for briefings.

Knowledge of management principles and military command structures is essential for conducting management studies and projects.

Excellent interpersonal skills are required for presenting recommendations and negotiating solutions.
