Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team at Universal Stainless. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of our industrial facilities, ensuring that all equipment is functioning efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Maintenance Strategies: Create and execute maintenance plans to minimize downtime and maximize equipment efficiency.
  • Lead Maintenance Team: Supervise and train maintenance technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Analyze Maintenance Data: Review and analyze maintenance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Manage Maintenance Budget: Develop and manage maintenance budgets to ensure that all maintenance activities are completed within budget.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Communicate with Stakeholders: Communicate with department supervisors, operations teams, and other stakeholders to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma required; degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Ten years+ experience in an industrial environment; experience in maintenance planning in a steel industry preferred.
  • Skills: Strong computer skills; analytical and problem-solving skills; leadership skills; ability to manage and lead change.

Working Conditions:

  • Physical Demands: Ability to safely move around a heavy industrial plant environment up to 12 hours per day; lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Environmental Factors: Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
