Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot electrical challenges associated with HMIs, robotics, vision systems, motors, and more.
  • Establish electrical and programming standards for new equipment development.
  • Engage in plant and equipment enhancement projects, new equipment installations, and process upgrades.
  • Conduct testing of electronic units using standard testing equipment, analyzing results to assess performance and identify necessary adjustments.
  • Coordinate manufacturing, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, or testing activities to ensure adherence to specifications and customer requirements.
  • Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and engineering instructions for assembling electronic units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components.
  • Resolve equipment malfunctions efficiently.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers or field representatives to procure replacement parts as needed.
  • Assemble, test, or maintain circuitry or electronic components according to instructions and technical manuals.
  • Engage in research and development for new processes and product launches.
  • Ensure compliance with design specifications and regulatory codes.
  • Prepare project schedules and budget estimates.
  • Maintain detailed records of engineering schematics, installed equipment, issues encountered, resources utilized, repairs, and corrective actions taken.
  • Work with machine vendors to adhere to established electrical and programming standards.
  • Enhance manufacturing processes and minimize machine downtime.
  • Utilize your extensive knowledge of PLC, HMI, and robotic programming to train maintenance personnel.
  • Inspect electrical project work for quality assurance and control.
  • Identify solutions to on-site technical design challenges involving electrical systems and equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
  • Experienced with PLC, HMI, Robotics, and Vision Systems, including brands like AB, Mitsubishi, Cognex, Keyence, and Denso.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including wiring, circuits, and motors.
  • Ability to understand and recommend facility power distribution, including conductor sizing.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, tooling, equipment, and machine operations.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of arc flash safety regulations.
  • High analytical capability to address complex problems.
  • Ability to read and interpret component, assembly, and equipment drawings.
  • Effective time management skills with a self-directed work style.
  • Leadership skills to manage and guide team members effectively.
  • Strong work ethic and proactive approach.
  • Ability to compile clear and concise visual reports.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural work environment.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours to support production during new product launches.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and 3D CAD Software (SolidWorks) is a plus.
  • Experience in the Automotive/Automation sector is advantageous.
