Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement commodity/supplier sourcing strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Source, assess, and evaluate suppliers to ensure they meet quality and cost requirements.
  • Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to achieve best value for the company.
  • Manage supplier transitions and ensure seamless integration into our procurement process.
  • Participate in the escalation process for critical items and provide recommendations for resolution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and logistics, to ensure procurement needs are met.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure long-term partnerships.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends and industry conditions to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Provide guidance and training to procurement team members on best practices and procurement procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5-8 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or a related field, with a focus on complex electro-mechanical products.
  • Deep analytical expertise in data management, including MS Excel and ERP/Management Systems.
  • Low-Cost Country sourcing experience and knowledge of contract writing, supply agreements, and procurement policies and procedures.
  • Ability to establish work priorities and effectively manage multiple projects.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and excellent organizational and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of logistics/transportation management as it pertains to sourcing and supplier management.
  • High energy and a can-do attitude, with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
Work Environment

This is a 12+ months contract opportunity with longer-term potential. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting business objectives and delivering results.
