About the Job

The Psychiatrist is responsible for providing medical and psychiatric care to patients, ensuring their treatment plan is up-to-date and effective. This role requires a Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) and completion of psychiatric residency training. A minimum of one year of post-graduate practice experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides clinical services to patients, adhering to medical protocols and regulations.
  • Reviews medical information to ensure patient stability and offers medical recommendations.
  • Evaluates patients for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
  • Treats or directs treatment of patients using various psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
  • Reviews and completes medical information for individual care plans, documents services, and maintains confidential documentation.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) and completion of psychiatric residency training.
  • One or more years of post-graduate practice experience preferred.
  • Current license to practice medicine in the state where the facility operates.
  • Board certification or certificate of admissibility for board certification in a behavioral health specialty.
  • Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions.
