Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team at the US Department of Health and Human Services. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering exceptional services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist dentists and hygienists in providing patient care, including preparing patients for exams and procedures, taking x-rays, and sterilizing instruments.
  • Record patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and billing information.
  • Prepare and maintain dental equipment, instruments, and supplies.
  • Assist with patient scheduling, appointment reminders, and follow-up care.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in dental hygiene or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in a dental office or related healthcare setting; experience with electronic medical records and dental software a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a clinical setting.
