OBJECTIVE:
The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the receipt of store merchandise from various vendors, ensuring the accuracy of deliveries and managing inventory levels effectively. This role is crucial in maintaining vendor relationships and ensuring compliance with company policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Foster a welcoming atmosphere focused on exceptional customer service.
  • Oversee all deliveries to the store, documenting and entering them into the inventory management system.
  • Organize and distribute incoming products to appropriate storage areas.
  • Ensure effective cost management and quality assurance by verifying orders against delivery invoices.
  • Maintain organized records of invoices and reports in accordance with company standards.
  • Evaluate and accept only accurate orders from external sales representatives.
  • Implement measures to prevent product loss, damage, and spoilage.
  • Ensure the security and cleanliness of receiving and storage areas.
  • Conduct training for new employees on operational procedures.

Equipment Operation:

Utilize various equipment including manual and electric pallet jacks, balers, and computers for inventory management.


  • Occasionally assist with stocking and organizing dairy and frozen food items.
  • Inspect and report any equipment malfunctions to management.
  • Train staff on departmental standards and company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with product dating and safety regulations.
  • Adhere to all workplace safety protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Perform all duties with integrity and accuracy.
  • Other related responsibilities as required.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 60 lbs and perform repetitive motions.
  • Good manual dexterity and coordination.
  • Basic mathematical skills and knowledge of product handling.
  • Proficient in using various equipment and cleaning supplies.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Awareness of potential hazards in the workplace.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Primarily works in a temperature-controlled setting with exposure to refrigerated items.
  • May require occasional travel for training or operational needs.
