Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety and environmental action plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on safety and environmental procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainable solutions that minimize environmental impact.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of safety and environmental incidents, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Communicate safety and environmental information to employees, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to environmental health and safety, such as industrial hygiene, engineering, or science.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role in environmental health and safety, preferably in an industrial manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends to inform safety and environmental decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ASP or CSP certification.
  • Experience with safety and environmental software and systems.
  • Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Autonomous Maintenance (AM) principles.
