**Job Title:** Child and Family Therapist

 

We are seeking a skilled Child and Family Therapist to join our team at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work with children, adolescents, and families to provide assessment, short-term treatment, and referral services.

 

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work or Psychology, and current licensure in Texas with a scope of practice that encompasses group, individual/family therapy. Experience working with children, adolescents, and/or families is also essential.

 

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

 

In this role, you will be responsible for providing education to patients and families about identified goals, as well as educating school staff on the utilization of our TCHATT program. You will also engage school staff to facilitate referrals and create presentations in the community and schools to increase knowledge/awareness of behavioral and emotional stressors and symptoms.

 

As a Telemedicine Therapist, you will be comfortable delivering therapy through telemedicine and able to provide assessment and referral services to elementary through high school ages. You will also be efficient in administering assessments and screenings and deliver client-centered, evidence-based therapies.

 

To succeed in this role, you must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to handle confidential and/or sensitive information with discretion and adherence to HIPAA rules. Additionally, you will participate in regular team meetings and promote the UTHSCT mission, vision, and values by action.
