Job Summary and Qualifications
As an Echo Cardiographer, you will be responsible for the direct and indirect care of patients, ensuring that the quality of the echocardiographic studies meets the standards established by leadership.

You will adhere to the standard format for obtaining views, measurements, and calculations to determine valve area and flow velocity while maintaining equipment, including cleaning and preparing it for patient use.

The Echo Cardiographer will also perform additional functions as directed by the Supervisor to expedite patient care.


Key Responsibilities:
- Perform 2D/M-Mode, Doppler, and Stress Echocardiograms.
- Conduct Transesophageal Echocardiograms, including processing all orders and reports.
- Transport patients to and from the department for testing as necessary.

- Assist in performing other duties in the diagnostic cardiology department (Special Testing), such as EKGs, Holter Monitoring, and Stress Testing.

- Maintain accurate records for cleaning and upkeep of the equipment.


Qualifications:


- Graduate of an accredited school of cardiovascular sonography
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification is required
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer, Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification
