Key Responsibilities- Project Development: Prepare construction documents, specifications, reports, and studies for transportation design projects.
- Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients and public agencies to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Design Expertise: Perform designs for all types of roadway infrastructure projects based on AASHTO, NCDOT, and local municipalities design standards and criteria.
- Team Leadership: Train and review the work of support staff to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Business Development: Assist with project pursuits by providing technical expertise on proposals and marketing meetings.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive design experience in transportation design, including roadway, traffic management, signing, pavement markings, and utilities.
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microstation, Geopack, Corridor Modeling, and Open Roads. Strong engineering analysis and judgment, with the ability to manage and organize multiple tasks and related disciplines.
- NCDOT Design Experience: Previous experience working with NCDOT design standards and practices.
- Survey Experience: Experience with survey data management and analysis.
