We are seeking an exceptional Neonatal Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team at the University of South Florida. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to critically ill neonates in our level IV NICU.

About the Role

As a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, you will be responsible for evaluating and managing critically ill infants, developing comprehensive treatment plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transition of care.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and manage critically ill infants, applying evidence-based practices to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for high-risk neonates, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
  • Participate in high-risk deliveries, stabilizing critically ill neonates under the supervision of an attending Neonatologist.
  • Document all orders, procedures, and progress notes accurately, adhering to regulatory requirements.
Skills and Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant program, with a focus on pediatric care.
  • Florida licensure as an APRN or PA, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
  • At least 2 years of experience evaluating pediatric patients, with a preference for experience assessing neonates.
  • BLS/AED certification, with ACLS or PALS certification being highly desirable.
Benefits and Compensation

This role offers a salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, paid vacation days, paid sick days, and tuition assistance.
