Occupational Therapist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at East Bay Post Acute. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our patients achieve their goals and regain independence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans in collaboration with referring physicians.
  • Treat patients according to their individual needs and goals.
  • Assist the nursing department with training of Restorative Aides.
  • Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants in direct patient care and patient-related activities.
  • Communicate with supervisors and other healthcare team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans.
  • Participate in Patient Care Conferences, Utilization Review meetings, and Rehabilitation Conferences as needed.
  • Record evaluations, daily treatment notes, weekly progress notes, and recertification documentation.
  • Recommend and facilitate the ordering of necessary durable medical equipment for patients.
Requirements:
  • Valid Occupational Therapy License.
