About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Respiratory Care Specialist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a member of our transport team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to critically ill or injured infants and children during interfacility transports.

Job Summary

The Pediatric Respiratory Care Specialist will provide comprehensive respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients, ensuring their safety and optimal management during transport. This role requires expertise in patient assessment, care planning, and communication with medical teams.

Responsibilities
  • Provide critical care for neonatal and pediatric patients during interfacility transports.
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with medical teams and families to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and team performance.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric respiratory care.
  • Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Salary and Benefits
