Official Job Title: Day Service Specialist

The Day Service Specialist position focuses on developing and implementing individualized day service plans within the community, emphasizing the creation of strong connections between program participants and staff. Strong communication with clients, colleagues, and the community is crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and organize customized community activities for program participants to promote independence and social engagement.
  • Provide direct support and care to clients, including medication management and personal assistance.
  • Keep thorough records of services and participant progress.
  • Transport clients using the company vehicle.
  • Participate in community outreach and effectively utilize technology.
  • Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in sales or customer service is beneficial.
  • Awareness and empathy towards individuals with disabilities.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with office software applications.
  • Must reside within 25 miles of the designated service area.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to park a company vehicle.
  • Must pass a background check with the Department of Human Services.
