We are seeking a skilled Building Engineer to join our team at Insight Global. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and industrial systems.
Key Responsibilities- Lead shift operations and direct vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds.
- Monitor building system operations and performance, utilizing advanced skills to identify and resolve issues.
- Utilize trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling to maintain and repair facilities.
- Support properties of up to 1.2 million square feet, leading shift operations and assigning work orders as needed.
- Provide technical and procedural training to coworkers and subcontractors, ensuring they have the necessary skills to perform their duties.
- Review monthly tenant service request summaries to identify and correct recurrent operational problems.
- Oversee and inspect the work performed by engineering staff, ensuring it meets quality and safety standards.
- Determine that work is complete, equipment is fully functional, and client space is in prime working condition.
- Formulate and implement a preventive maintenance program to ensure building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life.
- Inspect building systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing, to ensure operation within design capabilities and environmental conditions.
- Estimate time and materials needed to complete repairs, maintaining inventory of adequate supplies and tools.
- Consult with clients to schedule preventive maintenance and other downtime to minimize business interruption and inconvenience.
- Perform assigned repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance, completing maintenance and repair records as required.
- Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
- 4+ years of experience as a Building Engineer
- Universal EPA 608 certification
- Experience with troubleshooting building systems such as HVAC, generators, etc.
- HS Diploma
- Valid CA Driver's License
